Digital Citizenship

Every parent wants their children to be safe.  In a world that is becoming increasingly more and more wired, parents and teachers need to work together to teach our next generation about the dangers of inappropriate technology use.  Digital Citizenship can be defined as understanding and using technology in an appropriate manner.  As a teacher, I believe that all kids need to know and understand that what they do and say on the internet is not temporary.  If they wouldn't say something to someone in person, they shouldn't be willing to text or post it online. Please take a few minutes to review and share the tips for internet safety with your kids, and encourage them to sign the Kids' Contract found under the Student Resources.
